Recommended Installation Practices
|
|
- Always inspect unit prior to Installation. Check the level of the trough is falling correctly towards the outlet.
- Waterproof and Install according to your Local Authority Requirements.
- If you remove the grate while installing, ensure that the integrity of the trough opening is maintained by using a spreader.
- If you prefer to install with the grate included as a spreader, it is advised to re-position the grate upside down in the channel and further separate from the channel by sliding a plastic shim between the grate and trough every 500mm to ensure that the grate is easy to remove once the cement has expanded and set.
- Once installed, the grate should be set 1-3mm lower than the finished floor level to allow for best drainage.
- Use a hook through the support bars to remove the grate for regular cleaning (no less than 6 monthly for internal applications, no less than 3 monthly for coastal environments) to ensure grates remain in best condition.
