Dux Waterless Urinals use the tested and proven technology of the Falcon Water-free technology. This technology is arguably the most advanced liquid seal non-mechanical system available, and as such is the best selling water-free urinal system in the world as it is sold by Industry giants – Armitage Shanks, Sloan Valve Company, American Standard and Ideal.
The Dux Waterless Urinal is comprised of 3 integral components:
1. Urinal body
• Made of Vitreous China or Composite Fibre-glass. Each model has a special gel coating making it resistant to urine accumulation and bacterial residue.
2. SealTrap® Cartridge
• Made of recyclable ABS plastic, the Cartridge is designed to act as a filter for uric sediment accumulation and maintain clean pipes
• Cartridge is designed to be removed and replaced every 2-6 months depending on usage (approx 10 000 to 15 000 uses)
3. AirSeal® Liquid
• Made of a biodegradable alcohol base.
• The AirSeal® Liquid is lighter than most liquids and floats on top of water and urine within the SealTrap® Cartridge, providing an atmospheric barrier from the sewer system.
• Cartridge is designed to maintain the integrity of AirSeal ® volume for the lifespan of the Cartridge (approx 10 000 to 15 000 uses)
Urine passes into the SealTrap® Cartridge through the AirSeal® Liquid where it is sealed off from the room and into the sewer. The unique patented cartridge has specific compartments which maintain the integrity of the AirSeal ® Liquid. No Tablets for smell, valves for flushing and sealing or mechanical parts are needed.

Installation of Dux Waterless Urinals is simple and cost effective. No water lines are required, no power, no sensors; only the sewer waste.
Urinal Designs
• The Dux Waterless Urinal is available in a range of styles and colour options.
• Vitreous China is available in 3 models - Flax and Boronia for Adult use as well as the Geranium junior model.
• D3 Fibreglass models are available in white and granite colour.
• Custom style and colour requirements can be accommodated.
Installation
• Installation is simplified by the use of one load bearing bracket and a lower fixing screw.
• With the supplied bracket in place, the urinal’s waste connection is glued or seal fitted to the existing 50mm wall sewer system.
• A single screw is used to secure the bottom of the urinal.
• Installation is completed with the application of a sealant at the urinals perimeter and the wall.

Operation
• Prior to the urinals use, the SEALTRAP® cartridge must be installed.
• The cartridge is first filled one time with water and the AIRSEAL® fluid poured into the cartridge.
• The waterless urinal is now fully functional.
• The cartridge and fluid are changed together 2 to 4 times per year depending on usage (approx 10000 to 15000 uses).
How to Clean the Dux Waterless Urinal
Cleaning
• Clean at the same frequency as conventional water type urinal.
• Use atomizer bottle with diluted disinfectant or biodegradable cleaning solutions
• Do NOT use high concentrations of bleach or acid, or you will decrease the lifespan of the cartridge considerably
• The urinal surface is sprayed, and then wiped with a damp cloth
• The only maintenance required is a periodic change of the cartridge (2-6 monthly dependant on usage).

Changing of Cartridge
• Wearing plastic gloves (provided) unlock cartridge with the extractor key (turn to left) tipping contents down the drain.
• Dispose of old cartridge in plastic bag (provided) recycle or place in rubbish bin.
• Clean urinal thoroughly with brush, hot water and detergent.
• Insert new cartridge with logo at rear, turn to right to lock into place.
• Fill with water (at least 1 litre) and pour sealant fluid directly into cartridge.
• Wipe up residue. Your urinal is ready for use again.
