Typical installation guidelines.
- Unwrap goods carefully and check carefully that no damage has occurred in handling or transport.
- Waterproof and Install according to your Local Authority Requirements. Any installation should only be carried out by a qualified tradesperson with current knowledge of local Statutory Regulations and local plumbing requirements.
- Remove timber grating while installing shower unit.
- Shower base can be installed against the waterproof board of wall with a silicone bead seal between the tray, waterproof board and tiles.
- On a solid level surface (concrete slab) a concrete based tile adhesive spread liberally over the floor should be satisfactory to hold the tray in position.
- On a timber floor, it is necessary to first lay a fibre-cement sheet in accordance with manufacturers installation instructions. The tray must then be adhered with a concrete based adhesive.
- Alternatively, Tray may be installed on a full mortar support base.
- Raise the timber grating for 24 hours airing periodically (no less than 3 monthly for internal applications, no less than 6 monthly for outdoor environments) to ensure grates remain in best condition.
- Timber grates may require annual coating in a tongue-oil based oil for prolonged aesthetics. (eg. decking oil)
